In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is well incorporated before adding the next.

Pour the batter into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar, butter, and heavy cream. Stir until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is smooth and bubbling.
