Spring Rolls
Method
Spring Rolls
- 1
Prepare the Pork and Shrimp
Start by marinating the pork and shrimp to enhance their flavors.
- 2
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, fish sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, sugar, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- 3
Cut the pork tenderloin into thin strips and add it to the marinade. Add the shrimp as well. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- 4
Cook the Filling
Next, cook the marinated pork and shrimp until they are fully cooked.
- 5
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add a little oil, then add the marinated pork and shrimp. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, until the pork is cooked through and shrimp is pink and opaque.
- 6
Prepare the Rice Vermicelli
While the pork and shrimp are cooking, prepare the rice vermicelli noodles.
- 7
Boil water in a pot, then add the rice vermicelli noodles. Cook according to package instructions, usually about 2-3 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.
- 8
Assemble the Spring Rolls
Now it's time to assemble the spring rolls with the cooked filling and fresh vegetables.
- 9
Fill a shallow dish with warm water. Dip one rice paper wrapper in the water for about 10-15 seconds until soft. Lay the wrapper flat on a clean surface.
- 10
- 11
Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling, then roll from the bottom up tightly to form a spring roll. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- 12
Serve
Serve the spring rolls fresh with a dipping sauce if desired.
- 13
Arrange the spring rolls on a plate and serve with extra soy sauce or a dipping sauce of your choice.
