Method

Preparation of Filet Mignon

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Pat the filet mignon dry with paper towels. Rub each piece with olive oil, then season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned filet mignon. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from skillet and let rest.

Preparation of Lobster Tails

  1. 3

    Prepare the Lobster

Using kitchen shears, carefully cut the top shell of each lobster tail down the center, stopping just before the tail fin. Gently pull the shell apart to expose the meat.

  2. 4

    Season the Lobster

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add minced garlic, lemon juice, and paprika. Brush this mixture over the exposed lobster meat.

  3. 5

    Cook the Lobster

Preheat your grill or broiler. Place the lobster tails on the grill or under the broiler, meat side up. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and cooked through.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

On a serving plate, place one filet mignon and one lobster tail. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the lobster. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
