Method
Fries
- 1
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to make fries.
- 2
Soak the Potatoes
Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the soaked potatoes to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt.
Steak
- 5
Season the Steak
Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides.
- 6
Grill the Steak
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.
- 7
Rest the Steak
Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Garlic Herb Butter
- 8
Prepare the Herb Butter
In a small bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, thyme, and lemon juice. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
