Method
Preparing the Ribeye
- 1
Season the Steak
Generously season the USDA ribeye steak on both sides with salt and black pepper. Allow it to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.
- 2
- 3
Cook the Steak
Place the ribeye on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the steak and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
- 4
Rest the Steak
Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.
Preparing the Side Salad
- 5
Chop the Vegetables
Wash and chop the mixed lettuce greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion into bite-sized pieces.
- 6
Mix the Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper.
- 7
Combine the Salad
In a large bowl, combine the chopped vegetables and drizzle with the dressing. Toss gently to combine.
