Method

Preparing the Taco Filling

  1. 1

    Cook the Meat

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef or grilled chicken, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add Seasoning

Stir in the taco seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the meat is well coated and fragrant.

Making the Taco Shell

  1. 3

    Prepare Puff Pastry

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into triangle or circular shapes as desired for the taco shell.

  2. 4

    Bake the Shells

Place the cut pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Making the House Dressing

  1. 5

    Mix the Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt or sour cream, lime juice, garlic powder, chopped cilantro, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Assembling the Taco

  1. 6

    Fill the Taco Shell

Once the taco shells are baked and cooled slightly, fill them with the cooked meat mixture.

  2. 7

    Add Toppings

Top the meat with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and sliced jalapeños as desired.

  3. 8

    Drizzle Dressing

Drizzle the house dressing over the top of the filled tacos.
