Burger Patties

Buns and Toppings

Method

Preparing the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, mesquite seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Press a small indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.

Grilling the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).

  2. 4

    Grill the Patties

Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired internal temperature.

Preparing the Toppings

  1. 5

    Prepare Vegetables

While the patties are grilling, wash and slice the lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and pickles. Set aside.

  2. 6

    Toast the Buns

If desired, toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1 minute until golden brown.

Cooking the Sides

  1. 7

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into strips for fries.

  2. 8

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 9

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil and fry for about 4-5 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Assembling the Hamburger

  1. 10

    Build the Burger

Place a grilled patty on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Top with lettuce, onions, pickles, tomatoes, mayonnaise, and mustard. Add the top half of the bun.
