Preparing the Burger Patties

Mix the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, mesquite seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Form Patties
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Press a small indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.

Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into strips for fries.

Heat the Oil
In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil and fry for about 4-5 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Build the Burger
Place a grilled patty on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Top with lettuce, onions, pickles, tomatoes, mayonnaise, and mustard. Add the top half of the bun.
