Fruit Filling

Method

Fruit Crisp Assembly

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruit

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches, diced mango, and sliced strawberries. Add granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Toss gently until the fruit is evenly coated. Let it sit for 10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Make the Crisp Topping

In a separate bowl, mix together 1 cup of rolled oats, 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Add 1/2 cup of cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces, and use your fingers or a pastry cutter to mix until crumbly.

  3. 3

    Combine and Bake

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the fruit mixture evenly in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the crisp topping over the fruit. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden and the fruit is bubbly.

  4. 4

    Cool and Serve

Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
