Montana Style Toppings

Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties about ¾ inch thick.

  3. 3

    Grill the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the grill or skillet until the cheese melts.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the brioche buns on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 6

    Prepare the Toppings

Wash the lettuce and tomato. Slice the tomato into thick rounds. Chop the green onions.

  3. 7

    Assemble the Burgers

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer lettuce, a burger patty with melted cheese, sliced tomato, sliced pickles, chopped green onions, and a drizzle of BBQ sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
