Shot Mix

Method

Prepare Shots

  1. 1

    Chill glassware (optional)

Place 2–4 shot glasses in the freezer or fill them with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure the shots are nicely chilled when served.

  2. 2

If you want a sugared rim: rub a lemon wedge around the rim of each shot glass, then dip the rims into a shallow dish of sugar. Set glasses aside.

  3. 3

Add the vodka, raspberry liqueur, blue curaçao, sweet-and-sour mix, and fresh lemon juice to a cocktail shaker.

  4. 4

Fill the shaker with the ice cubes and secure the lid.

  5. 5

Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and the liquid is well chilled and slightly diluted.

  6. 6

Discard the ice or water from the chilled shot glasses if you used them to chill.

  7. 7

Strain the mixture evenly into 4 shot glasses. The combination of raspberry liqueur and blue curaçao will create a bright purple hue.

  8. 8

Garnish each shot with a small lemon twist or a tiny lemon wheel if desired. Serve immediately every time the Vikings score!
