Spicy Dipping Sauce
Method
Fried Pickles
- 1
Prepare the Pickles
Slice the dill pickles into 1/4-inch thick slices and set aside.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In a shallow bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornmeal, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until smooth.
- 3
Bread the Pickles
Dip each pickle slice first into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally back into the flour mixture to ensure a thick coating.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Pickles
Carefully add the breaded pickle slices to the hot oil in batches, frying for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to remove the pickles and drain on paper towels.
Spicy Dipping Sauce
- 6
Combine Ingredients
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, hot sauce, dill pickle juice, and garlic powder until well combined.
- 7
Serve
Serve the fried pickles hot with the spicy dipping sauce on the side.
