Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crust

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and granulated sugar. Pour in the melted butter and mix until the mixture resembles wet sand.

  2. 2

    Form the Crust

Press the graham cracker mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Use the bottom of a measuring cup to ensure the crust is even and compact.

  3. 3

    Bake the Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool while you prepare the filling.

Filling Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.

  2. 5

    Add Sugar and Sour Cream

Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue mixing until fully incorporated. Add the sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.

  3. 6

    Incorporate Eggs and Flour

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed until just combined. Be sure not to overmix. Finally, add the flour and mix until just incorporated.

  4. 7

    Pour Filling into Crust

Pour the cheesecake filling into the cooled graham cracker crust, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

  5. 8

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and crack the door, letting the cheesecake cool in the oven for about an hour.

  6. 9

    Chill and Serve

After cooling, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Once chilled, run a knife around the edge to loosen before removing the springform pan. Slice and serve.
