Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Crush Oreo Cookies

Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until they become fine crumbs.

  2. 2

    Melt Butter

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter until fully liquid.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter. Mix until all crumbs are evenly coated.

  4. 4

    Form the Crust

Press the cookie mixture evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan to form the crust. Use the back of a measuring cup to pack it tightly.

  5. 5

    Chill the Crust

Place the crust in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set.

Ganache Preparation

  1. 6

    Heat Cream

In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Do not boil.

  2. 7

    Combine Chocolate and Cream

Remove the saucepan from heat and add the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes to soften the chocolate.

  3. 8

    Stir Ganache

Whisk the mixture until smooth and fully combined. If needed, return to low heat briefly to melt any remaining chocolate.

  4. 9

    Fill the Crust

Pour the ganache into the prepared Oreo cookie crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.

  5. 10

    Chill Ganache

Refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours or until the ganache is set.
