Sorbet Ingredients

Method

Sorbet Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruit

Wash and chop the fresh fruit into small pieces. If using citrus like lemons, ensure they are juiced and seeds are removed.

  2. 2

    Make the Simple Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves. Once dissolved, remove from heat and allow to cool.

  3. 3

    Blend the Ingredients

In a blender or food processor, combine the chopped fruit, the cooled simple syrup, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth.

  4. 4

    Chill the Mixture

Transfer the blended mixture to a bowl, cover it, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill.

  5. 5

    Freeze the Sorbet

Pour the chilled fruit mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency. Alternatively, pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze for about 2-3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes, until it’s firm.

  6. 6

    Serve

Once the sorbet is fully frozen, scoop into bowls or cones and serve immediately. Enjoy your refreshing sorbet!
