Popcorn Ingredients

Method

Popcorn Preparation

  1. 1

    Pop the Popcorn

In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Add a few popcorn kernels to the pot and cover it with a lid. Once those kernels pop, you know the oil is hot enough. Add the remaining popcorn kernels to the pot and cover it again.

  2. 2

    Shake the Pot

Gently shake the pot back and forth over the heat to ensure that the kernels pop evenly and don’t burn. Continue to shake the pot occasionally until the popping slows down (about 2-3 seconds between pops). Remove the pot from the heat.

  3. 3

    Season the Popcorn

Transfer the popped popcorn to a large bowl. If you want garlic parmesan popcorn, drizzle the melted butter over the popcorn, add the garlic powder, and sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese. Toss to coat evenly. If you want plain popcorn, simply season it with salt to taste.

  4. 4

    Serve

Serve the popcorn immediately while it’s still warm for the best flavor and texture.
