Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until all ingredients are just combined. Do not overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center to help them cook evenly.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  5. 5

    Add Cheese (optional for Cheeseburger)

If making cheeseburgers, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking. Cover to melt the cheese.

  6. 6

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, cut the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

  7. 7

    Assemble the Burgers

Place a patty on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Top with lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard to taste. Place the top half of the bun on each burger.

  8. 8

    Serve

Serve the burgers immediately with your favorite sides, such as fries or a salad.
