Wine & Bubbly
Method
Wine & Bubbly
- 1
Harvesting Grapes
Harvest the Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the vineyard, ensuring they are fully ripe and free from blemishes or diseases.
- 2
Crushing and Pressing
Crush the harvested grapes to extract the juice. Use a wine press to separate the juice from the skins and seeds.
- 3
Fermentation
Transfer the grape juice to a fermentation vessel. Add the wine yeast and sulfur dioxide to prevent spoilage. Allow fermentation to occur at a controlled temperature for 2-3 weeks.
- 4
Secondary Fermentation
After primary fermentation is completed, transfer the wine to another vessel, leaving sediment behind. Add oak chips for flavor and allow it to undergo secondary fermentation for an additional 4-6 weeks.
- 5
Filtration and Bottling
Once fermentation is complete, filter the wine to remove any remaining solids. Bottle the wine in clean, sterilized bottles and seal them.
- 6
Aging
Store the bottled wine in a cool, dark place to age for at least 6 months before consumption to develop its flavor profile.
