WHISKEY COCKTAILS
Method
WHISKEY COCKTAILS
- 1
Chill the Glass
Begin by chilling your cocktail glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and letting it sit while you prepare the drink.
- 2
Combine Ingredients
In a mixing glass, add 2 oz of rye whiskey, 1 oz of sweet vermouth, and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.
- 3
Add Ice
Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes (about 5 pieces) to ensure the drink is well chilled.
- 4
Stir the Mixture
Stir the mixture gently with a bar spoon for about 30 seconds. This will chill the drink and dilute it slightly.
- 5
Prepare the Glass
Empty the ice water from your cocktail glass and strain the mixture from the mixing glass into the chilled cocktail glass.
- 6
Garnish the Cocktail
Garnish your Manhattan with a maraschino cherry placed in the center and a strip of orange peel. Optionally, express the oils from the orange peel over the drink before placing it as garnish.
- 7
Serve
Serve immediately and enjoy your Bartender's Manhattan!
