Method
Drink
- 1
Chill beverage (if needed)
If your Coke Zero is not already chilled, place the can or bottle in the refrigerator for at least 30–60 minutes or in an ice bath for 5–10 minutes. For immediate service you can use chilled ice and a cold glass instead.
- 2
Prepare glass and ice
Place a tall glass on a stable surface. Add 6 ice cubes into the glass to cool and maintain carbonation.
- 3
Open and pour
Open the chilled can or bottle carefully. Pour the Coke Zero slowly down the side of the glass over the ice to reduce foaming and preserve carbonation. Fill to about 1 cm (1/4 inch) from the rim to allow room for garnish and a small head of foam.
Garnish
- 4
Add lime
Take the lime wedge and, if desired, squeeze it lightly over the surface of the drink to release a hint of citrus, then drop the wedge into the glass.
- 5
Optional mint and finish
If using, lightly slap the mint sprig between your palms to release aroma and place it on top or alongside the lime wedge. Insert a straw if desired and serve immediately so the drink stays crisp and carbonated.
