Prepare the Glass
Begin by chilling a cocktail glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water while you prepare the drink.

Combine Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add the Elijah Craig bourbon, Amaretto Disaronno, and brown sugar.

Add Bitters
Add 2 dashes of toasted almond bitters to the shaker.

Shake
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to combine and chill the ingredients.

Discard the ice water from the chilled cocktail glass and strain the mixture from the shaker into the glass.

Sprinkle the toasted almonds on top of the drink and add a slice of orange peel for an aromatic garnish.
