Vodka Sauce Preparation

Cook the Aromatics
In a saucepan over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté until garlic is fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

Add Tomato Puree and Vodka
Stir in the tomato puree and vodka. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and let it cook for about 10 minutes.

Incorporate Cream and Season
Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Add the chopped fresh basil and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Combine Sauce and Sausage
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage with the vodka sauce, stirring well to combine.

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with sliced fresh mozzarella and grated Pecorino cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
