Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Peppers

Rinse the Jimmy Nardello peppers under cold water. Pat them dry with a paper towel. Cut off the tops and remove the seeds if you prefer less heat.

  2. 2

    Chop the Onion and Garlic

Peel and finely chop the onion. Peel the garlic cloves and mince them.

  3. 3

    Chop the Rosemary

Finely chop the fresh rosemary leaves.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Heat the Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.

  2. 5

    Sauté the Onions and Garlic

Add the chopped onion to the skillet and sauté for about 3 minutes, or until it becomes translucent. Then, add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.

  3. 6

    Fry the Peppers

Add the prepared Jimmy Nardello peppers to the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the peppers are tender and slightly blistered.

  4. 7

    Add Balsamic and Rosemary

Once the peppers are cooked, reduce the heat to low and add the balsamic vinegar and chopped rosemary. Stir well to coat the peppers and let them cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve

Remove the skillet from heat and transfer the fried Jimmy Nardello peppers to a serving dish. Serve warm as a side dish or appetizer.
