Method
Preparing the Dough
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
Mix Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, softened butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the Dough
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
First Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Shaping and Baking
Shape Rolls
Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them in a greased baking dish.
Second Rise
Cover the rolls with a cloth and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bake Rolls
Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Making Miso Butter
Combine Ingredients
In a small bowl, mix together softened butter and miso paste until well combined.
Serve
Spread miso butter on the warm rolls and sprinkle with sesame seeds and drizzle with fermented pumpkin honey before serving.
