Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Bacon

In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the bacon and cook until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the rendered fat in the skillet.

2

Sauté the Aromatics

Add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

3

Fry the Rice

Add the cooked rice to the skillet, breaking up any clumps. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until the rice is heated through and slightly crispy.

4

Combine Ingredients

Return the crispy bacon to the skillet. Add the pickled kohlrabi, bean sprouts, soy sauce, and black pepper. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until everything is well combined.

5

Prepare the Egg Yolk Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk the egg yolks until smooth. Drizzle over the fried rice just before serving, mixing gently to combine.

6

Serve

Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
