Sponge Cake Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk to combine.

Beat Eggs and Sugar
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.

Bake the Cake
Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool the Cake
Remove from the oven and let the cake cool completely in the pan.

Combine Milk Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and whole milk until smooth.

Soak the Cake
Once the cake is cool, poke holes all over the surface with a fork. Slowly pour the tres leches mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak in.
Whipped Cream Topping Preparation

Whip the Cream
In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.

Spread the whipped cream evenly over the soaked cake.

Prepare Strawberries
Wash and slice the strawberries. Arrange them on top of the whipped cream for garnish.

Cut the tres leches cake into squares and serve chilled.
