Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Simple Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine equal parts sugar and water. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let cool.

  2. 2

    Juice the Limes

Roll the limes on a countertop to soften them, then cut in half and juice them until you have one cup of fresh lime juice. Strain to remove any pulp or seeds.

Mixing the Margarita

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a large pitcher, combine 2 cups of tequila, 1 cup of triple sec, 1 cup of fresh lime juice, 1 cup of simple syrup, and 1 cup of water. Stir well to mix all ingredients.

  2. 4

    Adjust Flavor

Taste the margarita mixture and adjust the sweetness or tartness if necessary by adding more simple syrup or lime juice, to your preference.

Serving

  1. 5

    Prepare Glasses

Moisten the rims of the glasses with lime juice and dip them into salt to coat the rims.

  2. 6

    Serve

Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the margarita mixture over the ice, and garnish with lime wedges. Enjoy your refreshing margarita pitchers!
