Drink Base

Optional Garnish & Variations

Method

Prepare Glass

  1. 1

    Select and chill

Select a highball or Collins glass (12–16 fl oz). If desired, chill the glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes to keep the drink colder longer.

  2. 2

Add about 1 cup of ice cubes to the glass if you prefer your Coke Zero served cold and diluted slightly by melt. For a less-diluted drink, add fewer ice cubes or serve without ice.

Pour Drink

  1. 3

Open a 12 fl oz can or pour from a chilled bottle of Coke Zero. Tilt the glass to about 45 degrees and slowly pour the Coke Zero down the side of the glass to preserve carbonation and reduce foaming.

  2. 4

If foam builds up, pause and let it settle, then continue pouring slowly until the glass is filled to about 1/2 inch (1 cm) from the rim.

Garnish & Serve

  1. 5

If using a lime wedge: run the wedge around the rim and drop it into the drink or leave it on the rim. This adds a bright citrus note that pairs well with cola.

  2. 6

For a mint garnish: slap the mint sprig between your palms to release aroma, then set it on top of the drink or tuck it alongside the ice.

  3. 7

Add a maraschino cherry as a sweet visual garnish if desired. Serve immediately with a straw or sip directly from the glass.
