Bottled water

Optional garnishes

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Chill bottle and glass

If not already chilled, place the Evian bottle in the refrigerator for at least 1–2 hours. Optionally, place the serving glass in the fridge or freezer for 15–30 minutes so the water stays colder longer.

  2. 2

If using ice, prepare fresh ice cubes and set them aside.

Serving

  1. 3

Remove the chilled glass from the refrigerator. If using ice, add 2–3 ice cubes to the glass.

  2. 4

Open the Evian bottle by twisting off the cap. Pour the water steadily into the glass, filling it to about 3/4–to–full, leaving a small gap to avoid spills.

  3. 5

If using garnish, gently float or place the lemon slice, cucumber slices, and mint leaves on top or along the rim of the glass for a subtle aroma and visual appeal.

  4. 6

Serve immediately. Close remaining water with cap and return to refrigerator for later consumption.

Storage and notes

  1. 7

Unopened Evian: store in a cool, shaded place away from direct sunlight and strong odors. Opened Evian: keep capped in the refrigerator and consume within 48–72 hours for best taste.

  2. 8

Avoid prolonged exposure to heat or chemicals (plastic in sunlight) which can affect taste. For the cleanest presentation, use a clear, odor-free glass.
