In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add a pinch of salt. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat, then stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce. Stir well to combine. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
