Fried Pickles Ingredients
Method
Fried Pickles Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Pickles
Drain the dill pickle slices and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- 2
Make the Batter
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and milk together until combined.
- 3
Combine
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until well combined and smooth.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Pickles
Dip each pickle slice into the batter, allowing excess to drip off, and carefully place them into the hot oil. Fry in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Remove the fried pickles from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
