Method

Prepare Glass

  1. 1

    Chill glass (optional)

If you prefer a colder drink, place a 16 oz glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice and water while preparing other items, then discard the water before serving.

  2. 2

Inspect the bottled Coca‑Cola for any sediment or damage. Keep the bottle chilled until just before serving to preserve carbonation.

Serve Drink

  1. 3

If serving from the bottle: Remove the cap just before serving. If you want a more traditional presentation, pour the bottled Coca‑Cola gently into the chilled 16 oz glass over fresh ice (about 1 cup) to minimize foaming. Pour down the side of the glass rather than directly onto the ice if you want less head.

  2. 4

If serving in the bottle without pouring: Add 1–2 ice cubes to the chilled glass, place the bottle on the side, and let guests pour themselves. Keep the bottle upright to avoid spills.

  3. 5

Optional garnish: Squeeze a lime wedge over the poured Coke or drop the wedge into the glass for a subtle citrus accent. Serve immediately.
