Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) to prepare for melting the cheese.

  2. 2

    Prepare Tortilla Chips

Spread the tortilla chips evenly on a baking sheet, ensuring they are in a single layer for even cooking.

  3. 3

    Grate the Cheese

Grate the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese using a cheese grater and mix them in a bowl.

  4. 4

    Prepare Jalapeños

If using whole jalapeños, slice them into rings. If using pre-sliced, measure out 50g.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Add Cheese

Evenly distribute the grated cheese mixture over the tortilla chips on the baking sheet.

  2. 6

    Add Jalapeños

Sprinkle the sliced jalapeños over the cheese-covered tortilla chips.

  3. 7

    Bake the Nachos

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve with Salsa

Remove the nachos from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with salsa on the side for dipping.
