Preparing the Chicken

Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Coat each chicken breast with this mixture and let marinate for at least 20 minutes.

Grill the Chicken
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Assembling the Sandwich

Prepare the Sandwich
Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the grill. On each grilled chicken breast, layer two slices of smoked ham, one slice of pineapple, and one slice of pepper jack cheese.

Add Sauce and Toast Buns
Drizzle sweet Thai chili sauce over the toppings. Meanwhile, toast the gourmet burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.

Complete the Sandwich
Place the topped chicken breast onto the bottom half of the toasted bun. Cover with the top half of the bun.
