Method
Making the Pizza Dough
- 1
Prepare the Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- 2
Mix the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the frothy yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough starts to form.
- 3
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- 4
Let Dough Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
Preparing the Buffalo Chicken
- 5
Cook the Chicken
Grill the chicken breast until fully cooked, about 6-7 minutes per side. Let it cool and chop it into bite-sized pieces.
- 6
Toss in Buffalo Sauce
In a bowl, combine the chopped chicken with Buffalo wing sauce, ensuring all pieces are coated evenly.
Assembling the Pizza
- 7
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- 8
Roll Out the Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- 9
Add the Toppings
Spread the Buffalo chicken mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough. Sprinkle the shredded pepper jack and mozzarella cheese on top.
- 10
Bake the Pizza
Transfer the pizza to a baking sheet or pizza stone and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serving
- 11
Slice and Serve
Once the pizza is baked, remove it from the oven, let it cool slightly, and slice it into wedges. Serve with a side of ranch dressing.
