Horseradish Sauce

Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and chopped fresh rosemary. Rub this mixture all over the steak and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, around 450°F (232°C). This ensures a good sear on the steak.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Place the marinated steak on the hot grill. For medium-rare, grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes before slicing. This helps the juices redistribute.

Making the Horseradish Sauce

  1. 5

    Mix the Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine the prepared horseradish, sour cream, lemon juice, and salt. Stir until well mixed.

  2. 6

    Taste and Adjust

Taste the horseradish sauce and adjust the salt to your liking. If you prefer a stronger horseradish flavor, add more prepared horseradish.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Steak

Slice the rested steak against the grain and arrange it on a plate.

  2. 8

    Serve with Sauce

Serve the sliced steak with a generous dollop of horseradish sauce on the side.
