For the Tiramisu

Method

Prepare the Coffee Mixture

  1. 1

    Brew Coffee

Brew strong coffee and allow it to cool to room temperature. Make sure to use a rich blend for the best flavor.

Make the Mascarpone Mixture

  1. 2

    Whip Cream

In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Set aside.

  2. 3

    Mix Mascarpone

In another bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.

  3. 4

    Fold in Whipped Cream

Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated, taking care not to deflate the whipped cream.

Assemble the Tiramisu

  1. 5

    Dip Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee, making sure they are soaked but not soggy.

  2. 6

    Layer Ingredients

In a rectangular dish, layer half of the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.

  3. 7

    Repeat Layers

Add another layer of the remaining soaked ladyfingers followed by the rest of the mascarpone mixture.

Chill and Serve

  1. 8

    Chill Tiramisu

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  2. 9

    Garnish and Serve

Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle dark chocolate shavings for an elegant finish.
