Chicken Tenders
Method
Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a large bowl, combine the chicken tenders and buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best flavor.
- 2
Prepare the Breading
In another bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or Dutch oven, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Bread the Chicken
Remove chicken tenders from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each tender in the flour mixture, pressing to adhere. Shake off excess.
- 5
Fry the Chicken
Carefully add breaded chicken tenders to the hot oil in batches, being sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
