Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and melted butter. Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix; some lumps are okay.
- 2
Cook the Waffles/Pancakes/French Toast
For waffles, preheat your waffle iron and pour the batter according to the manufacturer's instructions. For pancakes, heat a skillet over medium heat and pour the batter in 1/4 cup portions, flipping when bubbles form. For French toast, dip slices of bread into the batter and cook on a skillet until golden brown on both sides.
- 3
Cook the Meat
In a skillet, cook the sausage patties or links, bacon, or Canadian bacon over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
- 4
Assemble the Platter
On a large plate, arrange the waffles/pancakes/French toast alongside the cooked meat. Drizzle with maple syrup, sprinkle with powdered sugar, and add fresh fruit if desired.
