Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Oven
Preheat your oven to its highest temperature (usually around 475°F or 245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
- 2
Roll Out the Dough
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a thin circle, about 12 inches in diameter. Transfer it to a pizza peel or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 3
Add Sauce
Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- 4
Add Cheese
Tear the fresh mozzarella into small pieces and distribute them evenly over the sauce.
- 5
Season
Drizzle the olive oil over the top and sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 6
Bake the Pizza
Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or place the baking sheet in the oven. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- 7
Add Basil
Once out of the oven, scatter fresh basil leaves over the pizza while it's still hot.
- 8
Slice and Serve
Allow the pizza to cool for a couple of minutes, slice it, and serve immediately.
