Fried Mozzarella Directions

1. Prepare the Cheese

Cut the mozzarella cheese into 1-inch thick slices.

2. Set up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, set up the breading station: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.

3. Bread the Mozzarella

Dredge each mozzarella slice in flour, then dip it into the egg, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure each piece is well-coated.

4. Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until hot.

5. Fry the Mozzarella

Carefully place the breaded mozzarella slices in the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Do not overcrowd the pan.

6. Drain and Serve

Once fried, remove the mozzarella from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with marinara sauce on the side.
