Prepare the Dough
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

Mix Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the Dough
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Let the Dough Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Shape the Bread Sticks
After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle. Cut into strips to form bread sticks.

Prepare Garlic Mixture
In a small bowl, mix minced garlic and chopped parsley. Brush this mixture over the bread sticks.

Place the bread sticks on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
