Prepare the Dipping Sauce
In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and chopped parsley to create the lemon aioli. Alternatively, keep the marinara sauce ready for dipping.

Prepare the Calamari
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Set aside.

Coat the Calamari
Dip the calamari rings into the buttermilk, then dredge them in the flour mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Fry the Calamari
Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, fry the calamari in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
