Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and dried oregano. Dip each chicken breast into beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.

  2. 2

    Cook the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer the cooked chicken to a baking dish.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Sauce

In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the canned Italian plum tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Dish

Pour the tomato sauce over the chicken in the baking dish. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese on top.

  5. 5

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  6. 6

    Cook the Pasta

While the chicken is baking, cook the spaghetti or ziti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  7. 7

    Serve

Place the cooked pasta on plates, top with the chicken parmigiana, and garnish with fresh basil if desired.
