Preparation
- 1
Chill the Champagne
Place the bottle of champagne in a bucket filled with ice or in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes prior to serving to ensure it is well chilled.
- 2
Juicing Oranges
If using fresh oranges for juice, cut them in half and use a juicer or manual press to extract 2 cups of fresh orange juice. Strain the juice if desired to remove pulp.
- 3
Prepare Glasses
Choose champagne flutes for serving. Make sure they are clean and dry.
- 4
Mix the Mimosa
In a mixing jug, combine the fresh orange juice and chilled champagne. Use a gentle stirring motion to mix without losing too much carbonation.
- 5
Serve
Pour the mimosa mixture into the prepared champagne flutes, filling them halfway. Garnish with a slice of fresh orange on the rim if desired.
