Ice Cream Base

Prepare the Base
In a medium saucepan, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Heat over medium heat until the mixture is warm and sugar is dissolved, but do not boil.

Chill the Base
Remove from heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature. Once cooled, cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
Churning

Churn the Ice Cream
Pour the chilled base into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

Add Swirls
During the last few minutes of churning, drizzle in the lavender honey and dulce de leche, swirling them into the ice cream.
Freezing

Freeze the Ice Cream
Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
