Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add Thai tea leaves; allow to steep for 5–7 minutes to extract a deep color and flavor.

Strain the tea through a fine-mesh sieve into a heatproof container, discarding the leaves.

While the tea is hot, stir in the sugar until fully dissolved.

Stir in the sweetened condensed milk until the mixture is evenly colored and smooth.

Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to chill.

Fill two tall glasses about halfway with ice cubes.

Divide the cooled Thai tea between the two glasses, pouring over the ice.

Stir gently to combine and serve with a straw.
