GF Bar Favorites

  1. 1

    Prep and preheat

Preheat a skillet or grill to medium-high heat (about 375-400°F / 190-200°C). Lightly toast the gluten-free buns in the oven or on the grill until warm and slightly golden, then set aside.

  2. 2

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, gluten-free breadcrumbs, egg, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and gluten-free Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined, then form 4 equal patties.

  3. 3

Heat olive oil in the skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties 4-5 minutes per side, flipping once. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar on each patty to melt.

  4. 4

Meanwhile, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and ketchup to make a tangy burger sauce. Set aside.

  5. 5

Assemble each burger: on the bottom bun, spread a little sauce, add lettuce, tomato, and pickle. Place the cheddar-topped patty on the vegetables, then cover with the top bun. Add a final dollop of sauce if desired.

  6. 6

Serve immediately with choice of sides; repeat for remaining burgers. The recipe yields 4 servings.
