Method

GF Bar Favorites

  1. 1

    Preheat grill and prep

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400–450°F / 200–230°C). Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.

  2. 2

    Make the glaze/marinade

In a small bowl whisk olive oil, lemon juice, gluten-free tamari, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and maple syrup to create a balanced glaze for the salmon.

  3. 3

    Prepare and coat salmon

Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Brush both sides with the marinade, reserving a few tablespoons for basting during grilling.

  4. 4

    Marinate briefly

Let the coated salmon rest for 15–20 minutes at room temperature (or chill ~30 minutes in the fridge) while the grill heats.

  5. 5

    Grill salmon

Place salmon fillets on the grill skin-side down if using skin-on. Grill 4–6 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily. Baste once or twice with the remaining marinade during cooking.

  6. 6

    Finish and serve

Remove from grill. Squeeze fresh lemon over the top, garnish with chopped fresh dill, and serve immediately with gluten-free sides like quinoa, roasted vegetables, or a green salad.
