1. Prepare matcha
In a small bowl, sift 2 tsp Uji matcha powder. Add 60 ml hot water and whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk or regular whisk until the mixture is smooth and lump-free.
2. Heat latte milk and sweeten
In a small saucepan, heat 2 cups of milk over medium heat until steaming (not boiling). Whisk in 2 tsp sugar until dissolved.
3. Make cheese foam
In a mixing bowl, combine 2 tbsp softened cream cheese, 60 ml milk, and 1 tsp sugar. Beat with a hand mixer or whisk until creamy and airy. If available, whisk to create light foam.
4. Assemble the latte
Divide the prepared matcha between two serving glasses. Pour the steamed milk over the matcha, leaving space for foam. Spoon or pipe the cheese foam on top to form a foamy cap.
