Method
Steak Preparation
- 1
Season the Steak
Generously season the ribeye steaks with salt and black pepper on both sides. Let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- 2
Cook the Steak
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is achieved.
- 3
Add Flavor
In the last minute of cooking, add butter, crushed garlic cloves, and rosemary to the skillet. Baste the steaks with the melted butter using a spoon.
- 4
Rest the Steak
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
Fries Preparation
- 5
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips to resemble fries.
- 6
Soak the Potatoes
Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat them dry.
- 7
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 8
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the dried potatoes to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt.
Salad Preparation
- 9
Prepare the Salad
In a large bowl, combine the mixed salad greens, halved cherry tomatoes, and sliced cucumber.
- 10
Dress the Salad
In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Drizzle over the salad and toss gently to combine.
